thoughts and other stuff

Okay, time to write. A lot. Not just fanfiction. Looks like it's a week since someone last posted. So I thought I should write something. About a few fanfics I recently found, some music I've listened to recently and a short text/poem thingy I wrote some time ago.

write
the things that I write
can be divided into things
sometimes i write sad things
depressive dark things
then it's my opinions
on the world as whole
what is wrong with it
how it all will end
then there's the last
planned, poetic things
neither opinions nor thoughts
just a hard attempt
at writing something beautiful...

One thing to add is that many of the poem/text thingys I write are pretty impulsive. I'm not good at writing longer things, because inspiration runs out so fast.
Most of them reflect my mood at the moment. Someone once commented one of my texts, that it looked like interesting potential lyrics for a song. (or something like that, can't remember exactly)
I rarely edit them afterwards. Each time I've done that, or when I continue writing even after the impulse/inspiration is over, it feels like I'm only making it worse, ruining it...
Some of those texts doesn't even make sense, they're just loose fragments of text put together. When I begin writing, there's one thing on my mind, and just before inspiration runs out, there's something else. It kinda makes them a little confusing sometimes...

Here's another one, and I really like this one. What do you think about it? Don't know where it came from, could be partially Harry Potter-inspired. And it's at least a week old.

soul

there it is
a lonely soul
sitting there alone

ignoring everything,
yet knowing it all
thinking of past mistakes
unable to get away

a heavy weight on the shoulders
feeling bad, but still feeling good
just happy to ignore it all
just keep going on and on
thinking of the mistakes, cursing
but ignoring when it really matters

keep walking the path to self destruction
knowing it while still ignoring it
a sudden realization, looking to the future
and it says to itself "future, what future?"

The Borg Vs. The Zerg

I just found a very interesting crossover, a Star Trek/Starcraft crossover. The borg explores another universe/dimension and encounters the Zerg.

crossover madness

I haven't written for some days now, so it's definately time to write... recently I found some very interesting (to me) crossover fanfics. Most of them (or all) with DC Comics/Vertigo comicbooks. (and some of them have been or will within a few years be made into movies) Here's three of them:


Hellblazer: Hogwarts, by Camwyn
Harry Potter - Fiction Rated: M - English - Humor/Horror
"Sometimes, life bashes you upside the head with a brick in a sock. Hogwarts is about to get its latest Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, a man cast adrift from his native world- a man named John Constantine."
This one I found very interesting to read, and funny too. Interesting how he reacts to the differences in this strange new world compared to his own.

some thoughts

I just got a thought, what if we post wikipedia articles that we have found interesting? I usually use wikipedia when I want to read about something and I'm at the computer. Sometimes you find interesting articles, that you'll want to share with others, maybe it's about something you usually read a lot about, or the article was just interesting in some way. Post the link! Others might like it too :)

I found this article about slashdot interesting. Learned a few things, mainly about the thing called trolling...
