I´ve been busy with some pesky trojans the last week. So I made up my mind, and switched to Linux. After some research I choosed Ubuntu (I´m sorry Iki, it´s much better than I thought it was.. Gome, gome gome!). I´ve got everything running, even my integrated soundcard -0-. Today I´ve reformatted my menardi yukito (120gb NTFS drive..), she was went through a kind of total makeover. She is now valkyrie (120gb FAT32 drive) . It took the whole day backing up things and such ^^'

I´ve been out sailing most of the summer holidays, I LOVE SAILING!! (not as much as Ami-chan, but ^^). And i´ve been biking with my dad.

My dad is pretty cool, atleast his musicstyle. I like Lennon, Johnny Cash and Johnny Cymbal. Songs like Chattanoga-cho-cho (prolly misspelled =P). A tip, d/l Johhny Cash's song Sixteen Ton.

Haven't written for some time, so now it's time for that. Before going on to various fanfics I have to recommend, I'll write about what has been a lot in my thoughts lately. For days, weeks, months, perhaps even years I have been thinking more and more about the future. About politics, ideology, religion, philosophy and such. I've been thinking about these things, been worried about a lot of things, being pessimistic and defeatistic. Global warming, terror wars, future lackings of natural resources like crude oil and clean water. A lot of things. I've become more interested in finding my place, finding a religion I actually believe in, a political ideology I agree with (and a party having that ideology) and finding the way I want to live the rest of my life. It somehow feels like I am on some kind of treshold, and it feels like it began more than a year ago. Here's a text I wrote a few days ago (I don't remember when, and it's unedited since then) What do you think of it?

Pessimist, defeatist

pessimist, defeatist, so depressing
I think about the future, about myself
what will happen to the world, and to me?
I look at the world, seeing all it's faults
feels like it overweighs everything else

our future is dark, and we've created it
coming here, we got power over others
but with power comes responsibility
and we've failed, ourselves and others
through our greed, and expansions
we've ruined our chances, brought disaster
we abused the power, now we'll pay

Recently I found a game I think I'll be playing for a long time. It's called particracy, and is a web game (or whatever you call it, a multiplayer text-based game played in your internet browser) where the world is divided into nations with five regions each. In each nation there's a number of political parties, all driven by players of the game. The opinions of the people of the nation change overtime, and they'll vote on the party that they feel are the closest to their opinion. How a party is seen by the population is decided by what your party votes on in the bills in the government of the nation.

that BECK is the best anime I've ever seen. Seriously. It's so great T_T

On another note, I've ended my guitar break (thanks to me, rewatching BECK). Naturally, my fingers hurt after such a long break. It's a little sad that all guitar lessons are full. I would certainly need them.. Oh well, I have a rather good DVD with lessons. I'll manage with that for the time being.

My bday's coming up :D *checks wishlist* Nothing too expensive this year, I've already got my full share of gifts in June (reason is too bothersome to explain). But here it is, Marvy's (damn you Sar! It sticked!) bday wishlist:

Okay, time to write. A lot. Not just fanfiction. Looks like it's a week since someone last posted. So I thought I should write something. About a few fanfics I recently found, some music I've listened to recently and a short text/poem thingy I wrote some time ago.

at writing something beautiful...

One thing to add is that many of the poem/text thingys I write are pretty impulsive. I'm not good at writing longer things, because inspiration runs out so fast.
Most of them reflect my mood at the moment. Someone once commented one of my texts, that it looked like interesting potential lyrics for a song. (or something like that, can't remember exactly)
I rarely edit them afterwards. Each time I've done that, or when I continue writing even after the impulse/inspiration is over, it feels like I'm only making it worse, ruining it...
Some of those texts doesn't even make sense, they're just loose fragments of text put together. When I begin writing, there's one thing on my mind, and just before inspiration runs out, there's something else. It kinda makes them a little confusing sometimes...

Here's another one, and I really like this one. What do you think about it? Don't know where it came from, could be partially Harry Potter-inspired. And it's at least a week old.

It´s my birthday, woo woo! ^^
I´ve got many congrats, Fell even got away from WoW to congrat me =0. But she was gone when I came back from the sailing.

I got my first mobile today too. A Samsung X640. I wanted the E720, but this was nice too ^^. But the store hadn´t got any Halebops cards but they´ll get some tomorrow. And I´m prolly gonna get a datacable. It can´t play MP3, but Midi will work just as fine.

My dad did also give me the album "The Very Best of Era" ^^. It´s really nice.

I did just finish my torrentd/l John Lennon - Anthology. "Working Class Hero" is good, but my favourite is still "Imagine". John Lennon is really good ^^. Dad introduced me to his music, when I taught him how DC++ worked =D.

My sister gave me One Piece 24, that manga is pretty nice ^^.

Scout camp on friday, and then on monday to some relatives, and then sailing camp the next week. So I´ll probably not blogg in a while, sorry.

I just got a thought, what if we post wikipedia articles that we have found interesting? I usually use wikipedia when I want to read about something and I'm at the computer. Sometimes you find interesting articles, that you'll want to share with others, maybe it's about something you usually read a lot about, or the article was just interesting in some way. Post the link! Others might like it too :)

Hi, bloggers ^^.

(I can say that being nearly sure that people who reads this are bloggers, since most of the other people arriving at our blog is people (I´ve typed ppl all the way, without noticing it myself XD) is just clicking Next on the blogger field over the site (With Blog This! too).)

OCRemix is really, really the best music site I know. I recommend downloading their big torrents with ALL the music. Most of it is good. And when you have it, I can start recommend some of them for you all. However, alltogheter the 3 torrents are 4 gigs ^^'.

Don´t think so, after I made that post (that was mostly pasted from my chatt with DarkAmion) I went to the yatch club (at 11 AM). Dad's group had their last lesson, and we sailed to an island called Tånnö ö. Why did we leave so early? We transported 6 Optimists (a small boat) to one of the pupils where the others gathered. And I sailed the triss, Marvy! For nearly the whole day ^^;. Hell, I´m crasy/brave! I arrived home at nearly 12 PM.

And today, I´m go to my grandma, we still´ve got loads of wood that needs to be moved inside the house... Hell, first in April we started to get the wood in the forest, then we splitted it, and now we are moving it inside... ^^'

(And, I´ve been doing this on Monday and Wednesday...)

I´m sleepy and numb in my arms :S

Lol, I started to write the end, then I restarted the beginning again.. And after that when I started to writing this. =P

Here I am, for more fanfiction recommendations. And write down a few thoughts as well.
I usually wrote the summaries of the stories I recommended myself, I never really thought of citing the fanfic's own summary. It may have looked similar, but it was never copied. Perhaps I should cite the official summary in the future, then add anything I feel should be added. I like that Sartas added the rating into the thing, rating is some times needed to determine if you can read/recommend the fanfic or not. One thing that can be developed though, is the way things are shown. Take the information, and make something nicer looking with it, that fits into a blog :)

Hi!

Well, I changed the template from Minima Black to Minima.. It´s the same, the other is just black.. I´ve also been messing around with the template.. And I can´t get rid of those double lines under the contributors. All of the other lines is written by < ul > and the other follows by a < /ul >, but just at that place, there aren´t any of those..

Please post about the namn, I wanna pretend to be democratic at least /jk. Just post about the template, changes, names, the adress.. All of it.

Welcome to this new blog, Dreams & Rants.

Or, we aren´t sure about the name. FFD and Homeless wants the name Thoughts & Rants. I like dreams more, what do you think, Zeed & Iki?

Today I took a short walk.. Short walks are great for some thinking, methinks =P. I thought that I should try to quit playing Ragnarok Online. People keep telling me that I play it too much, and that I´m addicted. The only problem with this, is that I find it hard to leave my guild, Shadow Slayers.. Well.. I´ll think some more about it..

The game is also getting really boring. Like the fact that it takes more than 1 hour to level up, at my current level. Even thought it is that hard, I´m feeling really weak compared to other players..

Why do I like this game?

The reason I have for playing RPGs, is that I like medieval, epic adventures. I like building character (I had to check the spelling at dictionary.com once again.. I´ll never learn..)..

But this game is too addicting for me.. Please, help me quit!

The band Blackmore's Night is the best medieval band out there, in my opinion.
The band Era makes nice, "mighty" music with many singers (like 100 people, I think) their song Ameno is the best by them.
The series of CDs "Celtic Circle" is really good. Get all three of them!
Green Day is a nice band, not that good as Blackmore's Night..
